Treni: in Sardegna le linee turistiche più estese d’Italia, 473 i chilometri gestiti dall’Arst
All’Arst, l’Azienda del trasporto pubblico locale della Regione Sardegna, costa circa 400 mila euro l’anno gestire i 437 chilometri di linee turistiche dell’isola, le più estese d’Italia e fra le più grandi d‘Europa. Solo il 25% della spesa è coperta dal ricavato della vendita dei biglietti.
“Sono linee dal potenziale mercato turistico enorme, che la Sardegna ha sfruttato solo in minima parte”, ha ricordato stamane l’amministratore unico dell’Arst, Chicco Porcu, in audizione davanti alla Quarta commissione Trasporti del Consiglio regionale, convocata sui problemi del Trenino Verde.
“Basti pensare che in Europa questo mercato attrae circa 20 milioni di viaggiatori e in termini di ricavi vale 500 milioni di euro. Occorre un piano strategico pluriennale guidato da una cabina di regia regionale che coinvolga tutto il sistema pubblico”, ha suggerito Porcu per sfruttare il potenziale del Trenino Verde, “anche perché la recente legge quadro nazionale, la n.128 del 2017, ha introdotto nuovi standard di sicurezza che rendono obbligatori, per esempio, l’illuminazione delle 44 gallerie del tracciato, il presidio con casellanti o impianti tecnologici di 240 passaggi a livello, e un equipaggio di 9 unita’ (5 a bordo e 4 a terra) per ciascuna linea”.
Presto a Mandas (Sud della Sardegna), una delle stazioni del Trenino Verde, sarà presentato il nuovo calendario della stagione 2018, ha annunciato all’amministratore dell’Arst. “Bisogna però superare la fese degli interventi settoriali”, ha esortato Porcu, “e mettere in piedi una programmazione solida che dia certezze a chi investe e rappresenti un elemento forte dell’offerta turistica regionale”.
