Nuovo motore Volvo per Euro 6. E riparte Vista, il campionato degli addetti
Un motore appositamente creato per soddisfare i severi standard ambientali Euro 6. Le emissioni di ossidi d’azoto risultano ridotte del 77% e le emissioni di particolato sono dimezzate. Lo ha presentato Volvo, con primo obiettivo la sostituzione del motore Volvo D13 460 CV, che oggi alimenta più di un terzo di tutti i camion Volvo. “Il Volvo FH verrà dotato di un nuovo motore Euro 6 da 460 CV, ottimizzato per rendere i trasporti più veloci e convenienti in termini di consumo di carburante su strade in buone condizioni. I primi veicoli equipaggiati con il nuovo motore verranno consegnati nella primavera del 2013”, dichiara Mats Franzén, responsabile della divisione Engine Strategy and Planning presso Volvo Trucks. La richiesta di veicoli Euro 6 da parte dei clienti è ancora limitata. Da febbraio 2012 è possibile certificare i veicoli secondo le nuove normative, ma occorreranno altri due anni prima che i requisiti diventino obbligatori per tutti i nuovi camion. “Attualmente è difficile stabilire a quanto ammonterà la domanda. L’offerta del nostro motore più apprezzato in configurazione Euro 6 ci permette di soddisfare le esigenze di una considerevole percentuale di clienti. La restante parte della gamma di motori Euro 6 verrà lanciata molto prima che i requisiti diventino obbligatori, il 1 gennaio 2014”, spiega Mats Franzén. Intanto, sempre in Volvo, parte il campionato del mondo del personale addetto all’assistenza e alle riparazioni di Volvo Trucks e Volvo Buses: è possibile iscriversi dal 1° luglio. Per il primo Round della competizione, che avrà inizio a settembre, si auspica la partecipazione di oltre 14,000 iscritti. Le iscrizioni a Vista (Volvo International Service Training Award) sono aperte a tutto il personale dei reparti post vendita della rete globale di assistenza di Volvo Trucks e Volvo Buses. Le squadre partecipanti possono essere composte di un massimo di quattro persone. Lo scopo della competizione è aiutare il personale a sviluppare e migliorare le proprie attitudini, conoscenze e capacità in termini di lavoro di squadra. “Vista si conferma un efficace strumento di supporto per lo sviluppo delle competenze e l’ottimizzazione del servizio di assistenza. Per questo, contribuisce notevolmente alla vision di “azienda del cliente” che ci siamo posti come obiettivo”, dichiara Claes Nilsson, presidente di Volvo Trucks.(P.C.)
