Sita e Lufthansa automatizzano il rimbarco dei bagagli disguidati
I bagagli persi o disguidati comportano profondi disagi per i passeggeri ma anche gravi costi per le compagnie aeree. Per questo Sita e Lufthansa hanno unito le forze automatizzando le operazioni per il rimbarco di borse e valigie. La soluzione WorldTracer Auto Reflight di Sita reimbarca i bagagli in modo digitale, senza necessitare di alcun intervento umano, riduce i costi e i disagi e contribuisce a incrementare nel settore soluzioni più sostenibili e vicine all’obiettivo di zero emissioni di CO2.
Poiché la consegna dei bagagli è uno dei fattori principali dell’esperienza dei passeggeri, è fondamentale rispondere in modo efficiente e tenere i passeggeri informati quando le cose vanno male. La soluzione Auto Reflight avvisa istantaneamente i passeggeri al loro arrivo di eventuali ritardi nella consegna dei bagagli, raccogliendo i dettagli sulla consegna e consentendo al passeggero di evitare l’attesa nella sala in cui convogliano i bagagli.
La soluzione inoltre suggerisce automaticamente l’itinerario di volo più adatto per i bagagli urgenti (bagagli senza passeggero). Utilizza l’etichetta originale del bagaglio per effettuare un nuovo volo e informare il sistema bagagli della nuova tratta. Si risparmia tempo e si riduce il consumo di carta, dal momento che non è più necessario stampare ulteriori etichette. Secondo le stime di Sita, la diffusione dell’automazione del rimbarco dei bagagli potrebbe far risparmiare al settore 30 milioni di dollari all’anno di costi associati a bagagli mal gestiti.

Il nostro obiettivo è fare in modo che quando un bagaglio viene gestito in modo errato, venga ricongiunto al suo proprietario nel modo più semplice e veloce possibile”.
E Viktoria Rudo, Senior Manager del Gruppo Lufthansa, ha aggiunto: “In Lufthansa cerchiamo sempre modi per ottimizzare i processi di gestione dei bagagli e migliorare il viaggio dei passeggeri. Vediamo un grande potenziale nell’automazione degli attuali processi di rimbarco, per lo più manuali. Per questo motivo abbiamo deciso di collaborare con Sita per esplorare le possibilità della digitalizzazione”.
