Porti, Venezia: +14% di traffico nel 2010
Il porto di Venezia cresce. Secondo i dati raccolti nel mese di dicembre, i traffici sarebbero aumentati del 14% rispetto allo stesso periodo dell’anno precedente, con quasi 300.000 tonnellate di merce movimentata in più. Il settore commerciale è aumentato del 49,1% rispetto allo stesso mese del 2009: le 408.000 tonnellate in più compensano la contrazione del traffico del settore industriale, (-13.3% pari a -29.000 tonnellate) legato all’industria di Marghera. In crescita anche le movimentazioni di merci rinfuse solide (+45%), in particolare mangimi (+74%) e minerali (+8%) e carbone (+8.8%). Nel settore dei container la crescita è del 37,4% (10.600 Teu in più), il che porta ad un aumento del 6,5% (pari a 24.000 Teu) su base annua.
Trend positivo anche per il traffico passeggeri, con un aumento complessivo nel 2010 del 9,1%. Il flusso dei crocieristi è al +12% è ciò dimostra il successo la politica di progressiva destagionalizzazione delle crociere: anche il mese di dicembre, tipicamente non dedicato al turismo su nave, ha fatto segnare un +125,9% grazie all’arrivo di ben 13.314 passeggeri contro i 562 del dicembre 2009, un risultato che pone lo scalo veneziano al primo posto tra gli Home Port del Mediterraneo con quasi 1,6 milioni di crocieristi.
I dati di traffico consuntivi dell’intero 2010 segnalano in sostanza un aumento complessivo del +3,8% (quasi 1 milione di tonnellate) di merce movimentata in più rispetto ai 12 mesi del 2009. Il miglior risultato va ascritto al settore container, che fa segnare un +5% rispetto al 2008. Fra gli altri picchi positivi del 2010 vanno però inclusi anche il +17% nei prodotti raffinati, il +49,9% nei minerali, e un +44,8% nelle merci varie in colli, tra cui i numerosi project cargo (carichi eccezionali) di cui il porto di Venezia – grazie alla particolare configurazione delle banchine e alle professionalità esistenti – detiene l’esclusività del trasporto nell’alto Adriatico.
