Autotrasporto: dall’Inail il report sulle malattie dei camionisti
Particolarmente diffuse, anche nella fascia di età più bassa, le problematiche alla colonna vertebrale
Il rischio di incidente stradale è quello che più facilmente viene in mente se si pensa alla professione di camionista: ma l’elenco di fattori è lungo e comprende anche le posture fisse e prolungate con vibrazioni trasmesse al corpo intero, il rumore, la movimentazione manuale dei carichi, le condizioni climatiche avverse, le criticità organizzative (lavoro a turni, lavoro notturno, lavoro in solitario), l’esposizione ad agenti chimici aerodispersi. Anche l’obesità, eventualmente associata all’abuso di tabacco, alcoolici ed altre sostanze psicotrope, contribuisce alla comparsa di apnee notturne che, impedendo di riposare adeguatamente, determinano sonnolenza diurna con riduzione della capacità di attenzione e possibili ‘colpi di sonno’.
Il quadro è stato fornito dall’Inail con il nuovo Rapporto sulle malattie professionali nell’autotrasporto e sull’esposizione agli agenti cancerogeni nei luoghi di lavoro.
Nono posto per numero di segnalazioni di malattia professionale
Una veloce sintesi del lavoro mostra che per il periodo 2010 – 2019 il settore dei trasporti si posiziona al nono posto per numero di segnalazioni di malattia professionale con nesso di causalità valutato come positivo (il 3,2% del totale). Dal 2017 al 2021, nel settore Trasporti su strada come nel comparto Industria e servizi, c’è stato un decremento nel numero delle denunce di malattie professionali, con il peso relativo di quelle nei Trasporti su strada che nel periodo è sceso dal 3,7% al 2,1% (un calo più accentuato di quello osservato in tutti gli altri settori).
Le segnalazioni con nesso positivo nella classe di età ‘50 e oltre’ (circa 2.500) sono oltre il triplo di quelle per la classe di età ‘15 – 49 anni’ (un pò meno di 800). Particolarmente diffuse anche nella fascia di età più bassa, risultano le problematiche alla colonna vertebrale, la perdita dell’udito e le mononeuriti (entrambe con una percentuale superiore al 3%) e le reazioni di adattamento (da stress lavoro-correlato).
Tra le professioni dove il nesso di causalità con le malattie è maggiormente presente, troviamo i conducenti sia di mezzi pesanti (43,8%), sia di autobus, tram e filobus (26,2%), con poca differenza tra le due classi di età. Un maggior differenziale tra le classi di età si riscontra nell’attività di facchinaggio e spostamento merci dove, tra le due classi di età, c’è uno scostamento di oltre 3 punti percentuali (4,9% vs 1,4%).
In conclusione, nel settore dei trasporti e in particolare tra gli autotrasportatori, il rischio da lavoro correlato si manifesta prevalentemente a carico di schiena ed arti superiori. Infatti, alle patologie cronico degenerative del rachide concorrono, anche in modo sinergico, i rischi connessi all’attività di autista: posture obbligate con valori elevati di carico sui dischi intervertebrali (soprattutto del tratto dorso-lombare), vibrazioni trasmesse al corpo intero, movimentazione manuale dei carichi e microclima sfavorevole. Spesso il carico e lo scarico della merce vengono effettuati dall’autista, non sempre coadiuvato da ausili quali sponde mobili o carrelli elevatori (muletti).
